Cleaning up your temporary files to quicken your computer up

Not many people know how to do this. It's quite simple and speeds up your computer very much so.

First off we need to go to..

My Computer -> [SELECT YOUR MAIN HARD DRIVE] -> Documents and Settings -> [YOUR USER NAME FOLDER] -> Local Settings

*Now make sure that your Hidden Files & Folders are not hidden.

If you do not see the folder Local Settings then go up to the top tool-bar to the tag Tools then down to Folder Options next a small window will pop-UP.

Next you want to at the top, select the tab that says View. Then go down to where you see the text Hidden Files & Folders and make sure you have the little circle selected for Show hidden files & folders.

Now that folder Local Settings should appear with some other folders as well. Go into the Local Settings folder which then will display the following folders.

1. Application Data
2. Apps
3. Temp

Next you want to go into Temp. There is all of your 'temporary' files. Meaning things that you've clicked on the internet and instead of Saving It, you just clicked Open. As well as WinRAR file extractions that are files just opened straight from the RAR itself.

Anyway all of the stuff in this folder can be deleted, sometimes some things cannot depending on what your using program wise. Go ahead and delete everything in that folder, just make sure that nothing is running on your computer, meaning, converting a movie, Photoshop, windows media player, etc..

While deleting everything, you might receive an error message, just click okay, and continue deleting every thing else but that file name that came with the error message.

This will speed up your computer indefinitely. This is just one more way to clean up your computer.
